Phil White’s E30 from Lakewood, Washington
I met Phil via Instagram. And right away fell in love with the style of his car. The raw look was perfect. You just don’t see that every day. Over the years we have personally talked and messaged over random junk along with car stuff. Since then Phil has made the car better and better. It’s now on our CAtuned coilovers along with misc. Parts and the rear window louvers. I’m sure it’s only going to get better from where it is now.
Here is a few questions we asked him:
Phil, how did you get the car? This is my third e30.
At the time I had already grown my love for these cars, so when a buddy of mine said that his dad had a super clean coupe sitting in his garage ready to sell, I jumped on the opportunity as fast I could!
Why did you decide on the e30? When initially car shopping around age 16 I looked at a lot of cars and none of them really stood out as something that I wanted to drive! Until I stumbled upon a 4 door 1986 325e for sale at a dealership, I knew I had to have it. Who knew that my first car would leave such a huge impression on my life.
Why do you love the car? I love being low to the ground, the boxy shape and lines, and it doesn’t get any better then driving around in a cult classic!
How long have you had it? It’s been 8 years now
What are future plans? Keep it running! And in the family. I plan on driving and enjoying it for years to come
